▶ Title: Development of NURI Launch Vehicle and Cryogenics

▶ Abstract:

The KSLV-II (Korea Space Launch Vehicle-II) Nuri launched on June 21^st, 2022. The Nuri vehicle used kerosene as fuel and the cryogenic liquid oxygen as oxidant. The management cryogenic liquid oxygen is required during the development of the NURI. Such as leveling the liquid oxygen tank, natural circulation loop of cryogenic liquids is important before the launch event. The gas-generator exhaust heat exchanger performance evaluation is also required to examine pressurization performance of the liquid oxygen tank. The seminar includes the experimental procedure to examine the performance of cryogenic liquid natural circulation loop, and the hot-gas and helium heat exchanger. Moreover, the seminar will discuss the launch process occurred on June 21^st 2022. The future plan of trip mars with the nuclear propulsion system, which will require the cryogenic liquid hydrogen system. The cryogenic technology development for the nuclear propulsion will be discussed.
