▶ Title: Additive Manufacturing of SMR Component Materials
Metal additive manufacturing is considered an innovative manufacturing technique for small modular reactor (SMR) components because of its multiple benefits: design flexibility, rapid prototyping, and cost reduction. Much research has been conducted to investigate the microstructures and properties of reactor component materials, including 316L and Inconel 625. However, additive manufacturing results of reactor vessel component materials are rarely reported because commercial powder for low alloy steel is not readily available.
