High-energy nanosecond lasers, typically utilizing Nd:YAG as the gain medium, represent a significant advancement in laser technology, offering unique capabilities and potential for various industrial applications. This presentation will explore the key features of these lasers, including their high peak power, short pulse duration, and versatile wavelength range, and their specific benefits in applications such as:

• Nuclear power plant maintenance: Safe and efficient laser cleaning and decontamination of reactor components.

• Semiconductor manufacturing: Increased precision and efficiency for tasks like dicing, scribing, and via formation.

• Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) lithography: Generation of high-power EUV light for precise patterning in chip manufacturing.
