A group of DANE students and researchers visited Wolsong low- and intermediate-level radioactive waste repository in Gyeongju on Wednesday, April 3rd. It was a fine spring day, just perfect for the field trip to Gyeongju.
The Wolsong site is located in the southeastern coastal area of the Korean Peninsula, within the municipality of
Gyeong-Ju. Wolsong repository, a country's first nuclear dump, gathers a total of 1,000 drums of radioactive material from the Uljin nuclear power plant on the east coast.
