Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is a powerful and versatile technique for investigating the composition, structure and dynamics of materials at molecular or atomic levels over a wide range of timescales. By connecting these microscopic features to macroscopic behavior, NMR provides insight into the origins of a material`s physicochemical properties. Due to its applicability to various material phases - solids, liquids, gels, and gases - NMR is widely used in the study of energy storage systems, polymer and soft matter, inorganic materials, carbon capture, and many other related areas.

This seminar will introduce the fundamental principles of NMR, outline experimental approaches, and highlight its applications in materials science.
