▶ Abstract:

How do we sense a matter? Humans distinguish and recognize objects by their shapes, colours, smells, and sounds through sensory organs such as the eyes, nose, and ears. So, then how do we know things that our senses can't observe? for instance, cells, molecules, atoms, lattices, and electronic structures. The Discovery of X-rays opened a new horizon for studying invisible matters. Synchrotron radiation facilities have contributed to the advancement of science and technologies as a light source for exploring hidden features of the matter by producing intense light from infrared to X-rays. This seminar will cover a brief introduction to beam diagnostics for light sources answering substantial questions that

1. How a light source (synchrotron radiation facility) is working?

2. Which kind of physical quantities should be monitored?

3. How beam quality can be measured precisely?

4. What is the prior art as well as state-of-the-art technology in the field of accelerator diagnostics?
