This seminar introduces particle-based numerical methods, including SPH and DEM, and discusses their potential applications in nuclear engineering. The presentation covers multi-phase and multi-physics simulations, GPU-based high-performance computing, and several applications related to severe accidents and advanced reactor systems. The role of meshless approaches as complementary tools for next-generation nuclear thermal-hydraulic analysis is also discussed.
